Based in the beautiful city of Cologne, Germany I currently like to
tinder tinker around with artificial intelligence and design experiences analog & digital.
I am either smiling or looking super serious. If it's the later one, I am probably thinking about food.
In my young days I used to play chess. I still remember developing a strategy that lured the enemy into taking
a bait. The bait was what seemed to be a stupid move leading to the loss of a figure. Taking the bait was
an unavoidable loss. In the next five steps the game would be over. Was always a joy seeing the bait work
out. As this bait was not something you would learn in a textbook it was an unusual confrontation for most
of my enemies.
Certainly this little chess story is reflecting me in my work progress. I enjoy creative problem solving.
The process getting to the solution is what I enjoy doing the most. Using the process as a constant way to
learn new techniques and methods is how I educated myself throughout the years in both design and code. Creative
problem solving is what I get hired for.
But Kadir, why should we work with you?
Simple answer. The experience of designing products of any scale. Real Products. Real use-cases. Real challenges. Not your
dribbble eye-candy designer.
What's the work I would love to do the most?
This question is particularly hard. As a hybrid designer and developer I enjoy the challenges of analog installations. Especially
cybernetics.
But I grew up with the web. Still remembering the days when I used tables and Webspell to design and develop
my portfolios (I had many). So the web and digital always has a place in my heart. I feel very grateful being
part of the last 10+ years of web and app history.
How and where do I work?
I mostly work remotely in 2-hour increments. But I am open for interesting job offers.
Random fact about me:
I wear black almost exclusively and as I love to tell it's the color of my soul.
Hit me up!
Always keen to explore new cultures, people, experiences and challenges.
